Time Will Not Last Forever

We have heard that things are the same today as they were yesterday, and will be the same tomorrow. Therefore we need not worry that the final prophesies of the Bible will ever come to pass.

This might have seemed reasonable in the quiet days before COVID and the volatile reactions from governments that have used this event to rapidly gain power. Like a tornado on a once calm afternoon, the world has been transformed virtually overnight.

Now, in the wake of mask orders and multiple lock downs, it should be clear to one and all, that in a side blinding instant, the world as we know it can and will be changed. Proving false the comforting idea that life as we know it never will change, and therefore we need not fear that the Bible is right that a day is soon coming when only those who have the mark of the beast will be allowed to buy and sell.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Revelation 13:17

As we look upon the strange year that has been 2020, our hearts should not melt with fear. But instead we should look upon this as a call to wake up. To open our eyes to the fact that our days of pilgrimage upon this sin plagued earth are fast drawing to a close. Because very soon, much sooner than most of us realize, Michael will stand up and declare that the battle between good and evil has come to an end, and it is time for Him to come and take His people home.

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. Daniel 12:1

So now, it is time to like never before, to turn off the TV and open our Bibles. Now, like never before, it is time to search our hearts to see if there is any sin that we are clinging to. To search and make certain that we have given every corner of our heart to God. And now, while the door of opportunity is still open, it is time to give our friends, families, neighbors, and all who we can, the invitation of mercy and hope.
